NB Average time from receipt to publication may seem the most interesting statistic but it says little about journal efficiency - the main source of delay here is authors being slow to edit and resubmit their manuscripts, where this is what reviewers have requested. Row 3 may thus be the most informative statistic as it excludes this delay

Please note that "pulbication" means paper-based page sequence. In fact most papers are published on our online-early system within about 30 days of final copy being received. This means you accepted paper is in the public domain (i.e. internet readable) very much quicker than the above figures imply. Also note that the total time figures above are inflated by the quite long delays imposed by authors who are slow to make recommended edits to their mauscripts.
