Personal reflections on learning and study
From these pages you may access collections of commentary made by students themselves. These reflections all concern the experience of being a learner in the Chinese context. In some cases these students have written about their memories of school and college. In other cases, we draw upon voice diaires that students have kept for the project.
Some of these students are returning to education as adults and their reflections are based upon memories of their earlier education. Some are college students now who are giving accounts of their recent memories of being in school. Some are college students in either China or at a university in the UK.
The reflections are organised into the following four themes:
Adult memories include the written thoughts about early schooling of five learners - who are currently returning to education in an online institute.
Recent schooling are accounts (taken from informal interview) of recently experienced school life in modern China.
