This section summarises recent research on the eLearner in China.
An introduction reflects on the state of research practice in this area. The text then considers the main topics that are well represented in the literature: matter of designing elearning activities to be sensitive to cultural differences in learning approach and disposition, the Chinese experience of asynchronous online discussion and comparisons between campus-based students and distance learning students regarding the use of online communication resources.
