The Overarching Research of eChina
The work of the HEFCE eChina-UK overarching research project represents the outcomes of a collaboration between staff at the University of Nottingham and Beiwai Online: the online institute of Beijing Foreign Studies University

The primary purpose of the HEFCE eChina-UK overarching research project is to contribute to knowledge and understanding of e-learning, particularly at the tertiary level, in the cross-national context.
At the outset, the eChina-UK partners agreed a programme of overarching research that would address two key themes each of which comprise two associated work packages. Throughout the project merging of the work packages was apparent given the close nature of the associated materials and data.
